Led by Commander Laura Harrison, HMS President is the largest Royal Naval Reserve unit in the country, maintaining a permanent Royal Navy presence in London, whilst offering reservists a full range of RNR career opportunities, combined with a vibrant sports and social programme. Along with its main London presence, an integral part of the Unit is Medway Division, located in the town of Rochester and attracting recruits from Kent, SE London and South Essex.
HMS President is in a striking location in St Katharine’s dock overlooking the Thames adjacent to Tower Bridge. This is a rare opportunity to visit this iconic Royal Naval establishment.The officers and ratings of the Royal Naval Reserve (RNR) contribute to global operations that take them across the ocean and all over the world. They protect our nation’s interests across a range of operations. From counter-terrorism and anti-piracy work to preventing conflict, maintaining security at sea and providing humanitarian assistance, at home and overseas.The visit will include a briefing on the Royal Naval Reserve and a tour of the establishment. There will be pre-lunch drink overlooking the Thames followed by lunch in the Wardroom in the company of the Ship’s Executive Officer.

The closest London Underground station is Tower Hill. HMS President is a short walk from there.

Refunds, minus a £5 admin fee (per ticket), will be offered, upon request, to anyone cancelling for any reason up to six working days before an event.  After this time, no refunds are available.

The Livery Committee is the Society’s members’ social committee and is separate from the main Society Programme.  It operates outside of the governance of the Society, and uses a money-pooling system for all of its events.  Net receipts collected by the Society on their behalf are passed to the Livery Committee.
