Nutbourne Vineyardsis owned and run by the Gladwin family, who have been running the vineyardsince 1991. Peter Gladwin is well-known to many of us as the former owner of Party Ingredients, our catering company for many years. Peter and his family produce a range of award winning still and sparkling wines from grapes grown on the estate, with every part of the winemaking taking place on site. is a wonderful place to visit in the heart of West Sussex, with wildflower meadows, alpacas, lakes and stunning views along the vineyard trail. Visit https://www.nutbournevineyards.com for more information.

Peter says “I am absolutely delighted that group of Apothecaries would like to visit the vineyard this summer. The cellar door is open throughout the year – in the Summer we offer guided tours and tastings to discover our wines and learn about English winemaking – and we’ve been doing it for over 30 years! We follow the best sustainable practices in everything we do: biodiversity, climate positive in the vineyard and reducing the footprint from production and distribution.”

We will have exclusive access as Peter and his wife Bridget and their staff will be opening the vineyard specifically for us, as it is closed to other visitors on Sundays.

Access to the vineyard is recommended by train to Pulborough station and taxi to the vineyard three miles away. Train services run from a number of stations including Blackfriars and St Pancras.

Refunds, minus a £5 admin fee (per ticket), will be offered, upon request, to anyone cancelling for any reason up to six working days before an event.  After this time, no refunds are available.

Please note that Livery Committee events should now be booked in via the “members area” on the Society website.  NB:  A small number of our events will need to be booked direct with the organiser but will be listed in the “members area” with instructions on whom to contact.
