Walking Tour of Four Art Galleries in Fitzrovia and Mayfair
The number of places is limited to 15 and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Please feel free to invite one or more guests.
Ben Street led an event for the Livery Committee in 2016 at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, and in April 2024 a walking tour of four private galleries in Fitzrovia and Mayfair. Ben is an art historian and educator, his website https://benstreet.co.uk gives more details.
The Livery Committee has asked Ben to lead us again on a similar walking tour. The details will be announced nearer the date as the art galleries have not yet published their exhibitions. The intention is to meet at 11:00 a.m. to visit two galleries before lunch and two after, we plan to end about 14:30 p.m. Lunch will be taken at local hostelries of which there are plenty. Each apothecary and guest will choose and pay for their own lunch.
Refunds, minus a £5 admin fee (per ticket), will be offered, upon request, to anyone cancelling for any reason up to six working days before an event. After this time, no refunds are available.
The Livery Committee is the Society’s members’ social committee and is separate from the main Society Programme. It operates outside of the governance of the Society, and uses a money-pooling system for all of its events. Net receipts collected by the Society on their behalf are passed to the Livery Committee.
