You are invited to attend a Common Hall at Apothecaries’ Hall on Friday 19 June 2026 at 11.30am.  The meeting will finish at 12.15pm, to be followed by the Reception for the Livery Lunch.

A ‘Common Hall’ is conjectured to be a survival of the ancient Folkmoot, and in different Companies it can have a number of different purposes. For some, it is where they elect people to their Company’s high offices, or decide who to back for the roles of City Sheriff or Lord Mayor. For some it might be more akin to an Annual General Meeting, and this is the model we’ll be following.

At Common Hall the Master will update us on the Society’s current health and plans, assisted by the Clerk, and perhaps some other presentations. There will be an opportunity for questions.

Common Hall will take place on the same day as our Livery Lunch, which follows immediately afterwards; those who have not booked in for the lunch would be most welcome to join the Master, Wardens and other guests for the champagne reception. This is a free event, but please book in the usual way, so we know how many to expect. (If you are staying on for the lunch please book for that separately).

Should you have any queries please contact Beci who will be only too happy to assist you (events@apothecaries.org).
