Wine Tasting by Zoom (October 2020, ignore date below, exact date TBC)

Event Details

Your own home, October 2020

The Livery Committee is planning a virtual wine tasting, to be led by a well-known expert in the wine world, using Zoom videoconferencing.

The idiosyncrasies of French wine regions can be hard to follow.  We will take a journey through some of the best-known wine regions of France to explore the differences between Pouilly Fume and Pouilly Fuisse, and the right and left banks in Bordeaux.  The wines for the tasting can be pre-ordered and will be delivered to your home prior to the event, or you can just join the Zoom call and listen to the discussion.

This event will offer a chance for Apothecaries to improve their wine knowledge in a relaxed and informative tutored tasting without leaving the comfort of their home.  It will also provide an opportunity to catch up with other Apothecaries by Zoom.

Many will already be familiar with Zoom, but for those who are not, a straightforward guide to using this simple videoconferencing system on your computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone will be provided.
