Old Bailey tour & dinner

Event Details

You will know the Old Bailey as probably the most famous court in the land, where most of the very serious cases are tried.  We will have an early evening tour of the magnificent Old Bailey building and visit some of the courts, in particular, number 1 court.  Here we will be able to see the bench where the judges sit and the dock, where the prisoner sits, during the trial.  Beneath this are the cells where prisoners are held.  We should be able to explore all of these on the evening.

After our tour we will have a fine dining supper in the Judges’ Dining Room. This is a rare privilege, and we will be hosted by Sheriff Alistair King, himself a livery man of five City Livery Companies.

This is a unique opportunity as these are areas rarely open to the public.  Demand is sure to be high and there is a maximum of 20 visitors.

The cost will be approximately £120 per person.

Details of this event are being finalised but to express interest in booking now please see the flyer here. Contact Peter Mace, email: peterjemace@gmail.com
